The Book of Life Candle Co. (BOLC) was founded by Dr. Toriana Smith. An Atlanta native and mom of three, Dr. Smith has always had a penchant for things that smell good. Perfumes, candles, room sprays, etc.…, she would often find herself spending money to satisfy her olfactory desires. However, after filing for a divorce in 2018, she was no longer afforded such luxuries as her household income had reduced and her children’s needs came first.

 

In 2019, Dr. Smith decided to research candle making. Perhaps she could start making her own candles.  A quick learner, she began studying business and the art of candle making. With God’s favor and grace, she launched The Book of Life Candle Co. in March of 2020.

BOLC was founded to share God's word through the aromatic fragrances of candles. Each candle is named after a person, place, or theme from the Bible.

Whether you struggle daily on  walk with Christ or perhaps you do not know Him at all, we strive to share His love with you, as purchasing with us is not just a transaction but an experience.
